September 2021 Newsletter
NEWSLETTER by Mike Biscotti, General Manager on September 1, 2021
Dear Members,
I am very happy to be at The WildeWood Club to serve as your Interim General Manager during the search for the permanent General Manager. It is important for you and the staff to know there is an experienced leader on property managing the day-to-day operations during this period.
Over the next few weeks, I will be observing and evaluating all aspects of the operation to identify any opportunities that will improve your club experience.
I have managed private clubs for over 25 years so I understand how important it is for you to be proud of your club and feel confident that when you bring guests to the club, they will have a positive experience. We will make every effort to deliver a quality product and service you expect and deserve. If there is a time when you feel we fell short of your expectations, please immediately contact me so I can take the appropriate corrective action.
The club has experienced tremendous membership growth over the last couple of years and we want to build on this success. Clubs are built by friends inviting their friends to join the club. If you know of someone who is interested in learning more about membership, please have them give me a call or provide me with their contact information and I will reach out to them. If you would like to invite them out to experience the club with you, let me know and I will be happy to extend them a complimentary access to the club for the day.
I have an open-door policy so if there is anything I can do to make your time at the club more enjoyable, please stop by my office, give me a call, or send me an e-mail. My e-mail is mike@thewildewoodclub.com. I look forward to seeing you at the club.

MAINTENANCE NEWS:
As we turn the calendar to another month, we’re excited to start preparing for tournament season. August was a great month that seemed to fly by, and I hope the early hatch of Fall Army Worms is a sign of cooler weather to come.
These small green worms can eat their way across a golf course in no time. We treat our greens preventively and attack them as they appear in the rough. I appreciate some of the concerned members who contacted the pro shop to give us a heads up. An extra set of hands and eyes are always a welcomed treat. The good thing about them being this early is though they eat the green leaf tissue of the plant we have ample time for the plant to heal and re-grow its leaves.
We were able to get a full post-emergent application of herbicide out and will need to follow it up with a second app in some of our areas that are more highly infested with goosegrass. We have our Fall course-wide fertilization planned for September 20th provided we have good weather and will begin to make our project list for this upcoming winter. As always, thanks for the support and we look forward to seeing you on the course.
Grayson Clark – Head Superintendent
The WildeWood Club Staff would like to thank our members for their patience and understanding during this transition time here at the club. Thank you for being a member!
