During this time, he also held top southern rankings and top national rankings. In college Adam earned 3 times doubles All-American and a singles All-American honors all while graduating magna cum laude from Lander University. We are excited to have him join our ranks as another asset adding value to our tennis program. Adam will be working with both adults as well as juniors, and is currently open for private, semi-private, and group lessons. To book a lesson with Adam, please contact the Tennis Center at 803.699.2446 or by cell at 843.509.0095.
Court Reservation Schedule
Saturday mornings have become a popular time for us here at the tennis courts. And with the weather getting to a point that makes afternoon play difficult for most, we are asking our members to make reservations for either 8am or 10am. This will maximize our court utilization as well as give everyone a reprieve from the heat.

June was a great month for us down at the maintenance shed. The warm weather paired with some afternoon thunderstorms kept us green and growing well. We did start to see some Goosegrass pop up in the thin areas in the fairways on several holes but that is all yellowing out nicely and should be gone by the time we heal from aerification in a few weeks. We did run into a few mechanical issues with our bunker rake towards the end of the month but have a new motor in it now and we look forward to getting back in them and finishing our summer edging and re-distribution of sand we had begun earlier in the month. Looking ahead, we start our course aerification Monday, June 6th and 7th.
As long as the weather cooperates with us, our plan is to aerifiy all greens, tees, and begin fairways this week.
We may have a few fairways to finish throughout the week and our following closed Monday but ideally, we will have all the short grass aerified by the 13th.
Bumpy and sandy greens are never a fun time for golfers but I assure you it’s for the long term benefit of the course. I have attached a quick video from the USGA that is a great explanation of the process. Later in July we will begin our second round of sodding. We have identified a few more tees and a couple of bunker faces to re-grass before the fall.
As always, I would like to thank everyone for the continued support and look forward to seeing you all on the course. If there is ever any questions or concerns please feel free to reach out to me at Grayson@thewildewoodclub.com.
